EHA 2026 Congress: Representing the PNH Community
In June, PNH Support trustee Virginia Bertelli attended the European Haematology Association (EHA) Congress 2026 in Stockholm as a representative of the PNH Global Alliance, of which PNH Support is part of, and a member of the EHA Patient Advocacy Committee (PAC).
As well as taking part in Patient Advocacy Committee meetings throughout the congress, Virginia attended a number of sessions focused on PNH, gaining insights into the latest developments in research, treatment and patient-centred care. She also joined patient symposia, including an engaging session on patient–doctor communication, led jointly by patient advocates and healthcare professionals.
The congress provided valuable opportunities to visit poster sessions, where researchers from the UK, across Europe and internationally showcased ongoing work aimed at improving understanding and treatment of PNH and other rare blood disorders.
